Guard My Vote, LLC (“Guard My Vote”) with a website of GuardMyVote.com (the “Site” and/or “GuardMyVote.com”) and a mobile application (the “App”) has established this Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") to explain to you how your information is protected, collected, and used. Guard My Vote may update this policy at any time. Guard My Vote will provide notice of materially significant changes to this privacy policy by posting notice on GuardMyVote.com.
Protecting Your Privacy
Guard My Vote makes all attempts to protect your private information. Guard My Vote will not share your personal information with any third parties without your consent unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy. However, Guard My Vote does share your personal information with third parties that provide services to Guard My Vote, including, but not limited to, email marketing service providers and Google Analytics. In addition, with your permission, information may be shared with social networking websites such as Facebook.com, Twitter.com, Pinterest.com, and LinkedIn.com.
Guard My Vote, or people who post on GuardMyVote.com, may provide links to third party websites, which may have different privacy practices. Guard My Vote is not responsible for, and does not have any control over, the privacy policies of those third-party websites, and encourages all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.
Use of Site by Minors
Guard My Vote does not knowingly collect any information from persons under the age of 18 years of age.
Data Guard My Vote Collects
Guard My Vote may collect your name, age, race, gender, email address, physical address, phone number, voter registration status, political party affiliation, and if you are a first-time voter.
Guard My Vote sometimes collects your email address, for purposes such as sending email newsletters. By submitting your email to Guard My Vote, you consent to emails from Guard My Vote and emails sent on behalf of Guard My Vote by email marketing service providers on behalf of Guard My Vote.
Guard My Vote sometimes collects your cell phone number for the purpose of sending you text messages about Guard My Vote. By submitting your cell phone number to Guard My Vote, you consent to text messages from Guard My Vote and its text messaging service providers.
Guard My Vote may collect personal information if you provide such information in feedback or comments or if you contact Guard My Vote directly. Only information that is directly sent to Guard My Vote may be confidential. Any information posted on the Site and/or App is not confidential. Please do not post anything on GuardMyVote.com that you would like to keep private, as it is a public forum. Further anything posted to the App may be posted to the Site.
Guard My Vote’s web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served, including, but not limited to, your IP address, page URL, and timestamp. Web logs help Guard My Vote diagnose problems with our server, to administer the GuardMyVote.com site, and to otherwise provide Guard My Vote's products and service to you. In addition, Guard My Vote may collect other information from your interaction with our Site, services, content, and advertising, including computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the Site, ad data, IP address, demographic and navigational data, and standard web log information. This information may be obtained for Guard My Vote from a third-party provider including, but not limited to, Google. Guard My Vote may use this information for marketing, commercial, or any other purpose as Guard My Vote sees fit.
Data Guard My Vote Stores
All information posted and gathered by the Site and Guard My Vote, including your personal and purchase information, is stored in Guard My Vote's database, even after "deletion”, and may be archived elsewhere.
Guard My Vote's web logs and other records are stored indefinitely. This may include any information you supply to Guard My Vote and your browsing history. However, Guard My Vote cannot guarantee access to these records by third parties for more than three business days after the original information was submitted.
Although Guard My Vote makes good faith efforts to store personal information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, Guard My Vote cannot guarantee complete security. While we also use security to secure the site, any information posted on your public Guard My Vote profile and any discussion boards are made available to the public.
Guard My Vote may store information in an off-site location, which may or may not be located in the United States and may not be bound by the laws of the United States.
Archiving and display of GuardMyVote.com webpages by search engines and other sites
Search engines and other sites not affiliated with Guard My Vote - including Google.com, Bing.com, and Yahoo.com - archive or otherwise make available GuardMyVote.com’s webpages. Guard My Vote has no control over third party archiving and search engine sites and cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information stored by search engine sites.
Circumstances in which Guard My Vote may release information
Guard My Vote may disclose information that has had all personally identifying information removed from it or that has been aggregated with other information such that personally identifying information is removed.
Guard My Vote may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process.
Guard My Vote may disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms of Use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Guard My Vote, its users, or the general public.
Guard My Vote may disclose your information to third parties for use by Guard My Vote. This may include disclosure to email marketing providers to provide targeted marketing for our users or other information to third party marketers. If you do not wish to receive email marketing from Guard My Vote, you will have the option to unsubscribe from the service.
Guard My Vote may disclose your information to other business entities, should Guard My Vote plan to merge with or be acquired by that business entity.
Geotracking
Guard My Vote may collect your geographical location if your device allows it. This includes capturing such data through Google Analytics or our hosting provider.
International Users
Guard My Vote welcomes international users to browse the site. International Website Users consent to all the terms of service and this privacy agreement. International users waive any and all remedies that they may have based on the laws of their country.
