The CEO of a nation wide spice retailer came up with a interesting way to stand in solidarity with protesters in Kenosha, WI following the recent killing of Jacob Blake. Bill Penzey has decided to "loot" his own retail store in Kenosha, WI after seeing many other local businesses being looted and damaged during the demonstrations. Penzey took a look at the inventory in his store and made the decision to donate that exact amount to local food pantries and organizations trying to fund significant changes. In Penzey's letter to the community, he praises the Milwaukee Bucks for their peaceful demonstration of walking away from their NBA playoff game and goes on to say, "Someone wrote to say that you would be singing a different tune if it was your store being looted. I’m by no means perfect but seriously no, I wouldn’t. Human life means everything; stuff, not so much."
